I Miss Korea
Sung-Won Choi,

I was known in Korea as Lee Springman and spent over 11 years off and on from 1969 to 1994.

I enjoyed looking at all your photos and was wondering why there are none with the elder players and previous members of the 1980's KBA.. I was one of the first 16 Korean Champion Class players which was formed in 1980. I had played with the likes of Yong Kwi Moon(my straight rail Mentor and good friend),Lee Sung Chun(many times Korean and USA Champion), Kim Dong Su(1979 Champion), Pak Byung Moon(1980 Champion)and good friend and also knew one of the Original Champion Class members whose last name was Choi. Perhaps you were related to him? If so post some pictures of you and him together. It would be great to see and to know my presence in Korea meant something.

I had helped the KBA with improving their equipment and had given diamond system lessons to many players including Pak Byung Moon in the early 80's. Also helped the Hollywood Table & Kangaroo manufacturer with technical support. In the early 70's I had played many many times with Kim Chul Min while Lee Sung Chun would watch and I also played Edi Ku Ma(nickname meaning: Edi Hustler)who was a legend in both Pool and Carom billiards.

I hope you have some photos from the 2000's of some of the elders of our great sport. I sure would like to view them.. BTW, I am very impressed by your accomplishments and only wish I could had viewed some of your performances.. Keep on winning for it gives me a sense of pride knowing Korea is finally truly on the map in the Carom world..
