Emotion of the recent World Championships
What are the rules of the competition?
Matches are race to 40 points with 40 seconds shot-clock and equalizing inning. In case of draw in the final tournament, penalties are played.
The competition starts with 16 groups of 3 players. The first ranked player of each group is qualified to play the final stage: a Knock-Out system from the round of sixteen to the Final.
What is the 3-Cushion Game?
This is the most famous game of Carom Billiards. It is played with three balls on a pocketless heated 5 X 10 feet table.
To score a point, the cue ball must hit the other two balls, but before the cue ball makes contact with the second object ball (the other player's designated cue ball and the red), it must hit three or more cushions. That is the reason why the game is called 3-Cushion Billiards.
Why this event takes part of the France-Korea Year?
