Spanish top players in Grand Prix Astorga

ASTORGA - In the week following the Belgian championships and during the Dutch three cushion Masters, this week in Spain the Grand Prix Astorga is played. The tournament will be held at Hotel Via de la Plata. Dani Sánchez, the reigning world champion, is among the participants. For the tournament 112 players have registered. The games will be broadcast live on Kozoom.

The Spanish ganking is led by Juan David Zapata at the moment, followed by Jose Maria Mas and Dani Sánchez. All Spanish top players come to the arena including David Martinez, Ruben Legazpi and Javier Palazón. The Grand Prix started with the preliminaries. The sixteen players enter the tournament from Friday added to the sixteen players that survived the preliminaries.

The sessions are played every day at 10:00, 12:00, 16:00, 18:00 and 20:00. The first knockout stage starts on Friday at 12:00, the following sessions at 16:00, 18:00 and 20:00. The second round takes place on Saturday at 10:00 and 12:00, the quarter-finals at 17:15.

On the last day, Sunday the semi-finals will be played at 10:00 pm, the finals at 12:15.

The 6.000 euro prize money will be devided among the winners: 1.200 for the winner, 800 for the runner-up, the two semi-finalists will receive 450 euros.
